FoAM’s 2020 Photographic Competition – Entries and Results

The pandemic has resulted in cancellation of all FoAM events for the past year apart from our photographic competition, which we’ve been able to hold through electronic submission of entries. A record total of 176 entries were received from 58 photographers and the standards were higher than ever.

Firecrest – One of the winning entries

Our judges, Andy Harmer, Simon Davies and Nick Jones, have once again generously given up their time to review all the entries, so a big thank you to them for making this year’s competition possible.

The entries and results are now available on Google Drive and you can access them by following the instructions and link in this pdf.

I am on a photosharing website called Ephotozine. A lady from Devon photographed a new bird to her a couple of months or so ago and posted it onto EPZ. It turned out to be a firecrest. By looking up on the net it turned out that it was one of a few visitors to South West England. So it looks like it is very exciting that one was found hereabouts in Mid Cheshire. Have anymore been seen since in our area? David
