Interpretation Panels for the Bird Hides at Marbury

To help visitors identify the bird species most likely to be seen at Marbury’s Mere and Woodland hides, FoAM undertook a project to design and install two bird iinterpretation panels.

Following a successful application to our Marbury Ward councillors, FoAM received a grant from their Members’ Budgets.  This was supplemented by remaining funds from an earlier donation from Northwich Soroptimists, topped up from FoAM’s own funds.

Volunteers worked with Ranger Chris Moseley to design the panel layouts.  These were aimed at helping non-experts, particularly children, identify birds which they might see during their visit.

Volunteers installed the panels, which were unveiled by Norman Wright on behalf of the Marbury Ward councillors on 13 June 2013.
