Barn Owl Breeding Success in the Northwich Woodlands

This year has seen the first recorded breeding barn owls in the Northwich Woodlands and marks the successful outcome of an 8 year project to encourage them to breed here.

The healthy looking young female barn owl pictured on 20th June was about to fledge.

    The three times I have passed the box since Saturday, 7th. Jul the owl has been surveying its world from the ledge outside the box.
