19th Annual General Meeting of

The Friends of Anderton and Marbury

Notice of Meeting


Notice is hereby given that this meeting will take place on Monday 21st May 2018 at 7.45 pm in Comberbach Memorial Hall.

The Officers and Additional Committee Members shall be elected at the Meeting in accordance with the Constitution.

Alan Redley has completed a three-year term of office as Chair.  Nominations for the role of Chair will be sought at the meeting.

Anna Cooper has resigned as Secretary but remains on the Committee.  Joanne Redley has undertaken the role on a temporary basis.  Nominations for the role of Secretary will be sought at the meeting.

Jacqui Hutton and Clive Brookes have resigned from the Committee and Roy Leigh has joined the Committee since the last AGM.  Roy and all other existing members of the Committee will be standing for election.

Other nominations for membership of the Committee are sought from members of FoAM and should be sent to the Secretary.

Copies of the Accounts for 2017/18 will be available at the meeting.

An Agenda for the 19th AGM and Minutes of the 18th AGM have been posted on the Minutes and Reports section of FoAM’s website.

Marbury Lodge – the original one!


Read how volunteers have now completed work to make the grotto accessible to visitors and how the project whetted their appetite to explore the Summer House.

This has led to volunteers wanting to find out more about Marbury Lodge – the toll cottage which once stood on Marbury Lane, near the canal bridge.
